Our “Music of Christmas” concert was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for such a festive evening. The program was filled with holiday favourites, unique pieces, and challenging time signatures (and a couple of challenging key signatures as well).

We were very fortunate to be able to have some of our Beginner Band performers join us for a moving rendition of Greensleeves. Joy (our fearless conductor) arranged several of our pieces, including a brand new ending for one of our songs “A Stowaway on Santa’s Sleigh” (a Christmas musical trip around the world) so we could end with a strong Canadian theme. We even had a guest appearance by Santa!

A big Thank You goes out to BookLore for helping us sell tickets. We were so successful at getting people in that we had to set up more chairs! As a gesture of our appreciation for our weekly rehearsal space, we split the admission proceeds and were able to donate over $1300 to the New Hope Community Church (Salvation Army).

It was truly a fun and festive way to end the 2022 season.

See you in 2023!
